The story began when Mr S N Dwivedi, Founder Chairman & MD of Elcomponics Group, went to Iceland on a family vacation. As he toured a local market in Reykjavik, he encountered the healthy deliciousness that is skyr. It was love at first bite and his curiosity was piqued. Mr Jon Tryggvason, an Icelandic Filmmaker and Entrepreneur, was instrumental in helping him explore this healthy secret of Vikings. Mr Dwivedi is driven by a deep passion for organic foods, which can be seen in all the products at Elworld Agro. He was aware that India is a protein-deficient and lactose-intolerant country. The moment he realized the benefits of skyr, he knew that India needed a healthy product like this. It was that moment when he found the perfect solution to help fill India’s nutrition gap. There was a perfect synergy between the passion and vision of Mr. S.N. Dwivedi and Mr. Jon Trygvasson, and that is how Skyrrup was conceived.
